No Purchase Necessary
1. Entry: Limit one entry per person. All subsequent entries will be disqualified. No purchase necessary. To enter online, complete an official entry form which is displayed on the main Sweepstakes page located on the Yahoo! web site. A link to the sweepstakes will be provided throughout the entire sweepstakes period via a banner on the San Francisco Giants Virtual Dugout web site and during the following periods on the Yahoo! web site: July 8-21, 1996; August 5-18, 1996; September 2-15, 1996. You will be asked to provide your first and last name, address, telephone number, date of birth, and email address. You will also be asked to answer several optional questions, however, these need not be answered in order to be eligible for the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes begins July 8, 1996 and ends September 29, 1996. To enter by U.S. mail, send a 3X5 card on which you have handprinted your name, address, telephone number, date of birth, and email address (if available) to: Yahoo! San Francisco Bay Area Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 3566, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Online and mail entries must be received by the deadlines stated in Rule 2 below. No responsibility is assumed by Yahoo!, the San Francisco Giants, Virtual Dugout, or Softbank Interactive Marketing (SIM) for lost, late, misdirected, illegible, or mutilated entries or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. Yahoo!/S.F. Giants reserve the right to terminate the Sweepstakes if it becomes technically corrupted. All entries become the property of Yahoo! and the San Francisco Giants and will not be returned to entrant.
Current users of Yahoo!, with a valid YahooID may enter their YahooID in lieu of name, address, telephone number, date of birth, and email address requested on the official online sweepstakes entry form. The Yahoo! user's personal information corresponding to the ID code submitted will be entered into the Sweepstakes.
2. Winner Selection: Fifty (50) winners will be selected in each of three (3) random drawings to be held on or about July 29, 1996; August 26, 1996, and October 7, 1996 from among all eligible entries received. To be eligible for the first drawing, online entries must be received by 11:59PM EST July 21, 1996 and all mail ins must be postmarked by July 21, 1996 and received by July 29, 1996. For the second drawing, all online entries must be received by 11:59PM EST August 18, 1996 and all mail ins must be postmarked by August 18, 1996 and received by August 26, 1996. To be eligible for the third drawing, all online entries must be received by 11:59PM EST September 29, 1996 and all mail ins must be postmarked by September 29, 1996 and received by October 7, 1996. Entries received for one drawing will be eligible for all subsequent drawings. Entries received after the deadline for a specified drawing will be eligible for any subsequent drawings. Winners will be notified via U.S. mail. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Limit one (1) prize per person. All prize drawings will be conducted by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final.
3. Prizes: A total of One hundred and fifty (150) Grand Prize winners (50 Grand Prize winners per drawing) will each receive a gift certificate redeemable for two (2) upper reserved tickets (best available at time of redemption) to a San Francisco Giants regular season home game. (Approx. retail value: $15) Approx. total value of prizes: $2250. Winners in the first and second drawings will each receive a gift certificate redeemable for two (2) upper reserved tickets (best available at time of redemption) to a 1996 San Francisco Giants regular season home game. Winners in the third drawing will each receive a gift certificate redeemable for two (2) upper reserved tickets (best available at time of redemption) to a 1997 San Francisco Giants regular season home game. Gift Certificates are redeemable at 3Com Park or any of seven (7) Giant Dugout Stores. Redemption of Gift Certificate is subject to game and seat availability. No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted except that Yahoo! and the San Francisco Giants reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if an advertised prize is unavailable. Winners are responsible for all travel arrangements to and from the game.
4. Eligibility: This sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States, Void in Puerto Rico, Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Yahoo!, the San Francisco Giants, Virtual Dugout, Softbank Interactive Marketing (SIM), their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
5. General Conditions: Sweepstakes entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the independent judging organization which are final on all matters pertaining to Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. All taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Entrants further grant to Yahoo! and the San Francisco Giants the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Sweepstakes. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Yahoo!, the San Francisco Giants and their advertising and promotional agencies to use winners' names and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Yahoo!, the San Francisco Giants, Virtual Dugout, Softbank Interactive Marketing (SIM), their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Sweepstakes or any prize won. Winners will be given a Gift Certificate that is redeemable for tickets. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations apply. Neither Yahoo! nor the San Francisco Giants will replace any lost or stolen gift certificates or tickets.
6. Winners List: The name of the prize winners may be posted on the Yahoo! web site on the Internet and may also be obtained after October 15, 1996 by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Yahoo! San Francisco Bay Area Sweepstakes Winners List, P.O. Box 3566, Redondo Beach, CA 90277.
