Grace Greenberg

1997 U.S. Small Business Administration Business Advocate of the Year!

The U.S. Small Business Administration salutes Grace Greenberg's solid history of organizing and strengthening women's role in business by presenting her the 1997 Small Business Week Women's Advocate of the Year award.

Founder, officer or active participant in a variety of women entrepreneur groups, Grace's professional experience includes Bay Area Career Women (the largest lesbian business organization in California, with more than 1,000 members and for which she serves as chair of the San Francisco chapter); Fast Trax: Women in Business, a networking and developmental organization she established for experienced business women; Break Out, a professional organization of lesbian and gay trainers providing educational and networking opportunities co-founded by Grace; and San Diego Career Women, a lesbian business organization serving southern California, also co-founded by her.

Grace has also served on the boards of Women Entrepreneurs; the San Diego Regional Conference for Women; and was the Health Issues Chair for San Diego Chamber of Commerce.

Most recently, she performed as one of the key organizers of the SBA's very successful Gay & Lesbian Small Business Owner's Workshop, which she helped plan, market and facilitate.

Currently, Grace works as Account Executive for The Lavender Pages, the world's largest lesbian and gay business directory.
